Well, I recently got Covid (not terrible, but not a breeze either), I guess it was bound to happen sometime. Two days before I got sick I was mountain biking in Squamish, twelve days later riding the Lochside Trail into Victoria (literally the hardest ride I can remember, the fatigue was, and is, still kicking me a bit). Both days beautiful sunshine. Looking forward to getting full energy back.

As winter fades…..plenty of snowmelt on North Shore trails, Vancouver, Canada. Lots of scrambling over snow, ice and boulders. The rest was slippery mud on root-strewn trails. And supplied with an abundance of freshly minted air 😃

‘A rose by any other name…..’

Late spring inspiration......a ladybird on some budding Western Yarrow, a bee drunkenly bathing in pollen provided by a California poppy, lettuce and chard we’re growing in our community plot. Flowers and veggies all grown from seed. There’s a lot of subjects presenting themselves to draw!

Nature journaling - Forsythia.

Sometimes it’s good to go back to graphite. Study of a leaf I picked up a while ago. I wanted to practise the curl and shading of a dried leaf and this fit the bill.
